Visitors to Montenegro have a brand-new reason to ride the Kotor–Lovćen Cable Car. The newly opened Falcon Fly, launched on 3 July 2026, offers a unique suspended panoramic ride starting at 1,348 metres above sea level, combining breathtaking scenery with a gentle adrenaline experience.
Unlike a traditional alpine coaster, Falcon Fly places riders in a suspended gondola hanging beneath the rail. Instead of racing downhill, visitors glide through the air while controlling their own speed—up to 30 km/h.
The ride begins facing the dramatic limestone peaks of Lovćen National Park before gradually turning toward the spectacular Bay of Kotor and the Adriatic coastline. Lasting between one and two minutes, the experience is designed to showcase Montenegro's extraordinary landscape rather than extreme speed.
The attraction takes its name from the Peregrine Falcon, a bird commonly seen soaring above Lovćen's cliffs using the thermal air currents rising between the mountains and the sea.
A Popular New Attraction
The response from visitors has been immediate. More than 1,000 cable car passengers experienced Falcon Fly on its opening day.
According to Marco Cus, CEO of XExperience, the company operating the Kotor–Lovćen Cable Car:
"Falcon Fly wasn't designed to be the fastest or the highest attraction. It was created to show visitors why the falcon chooses this mountain ridge. Guests control their own pace while nature does the rest."
More Experiences at Kuk
Falcon Fly expands the growing adventure park at Kuk, where visitors can also enjoy:
- Alpine Coaster – a self-controlled mountain coaster stretching over one kilometre.
- Four panoramic viewpoints overlooking Kotor, the Bay of Kotor and Budva.
- Marked hiking trails suitable for both casual walkers and experienced hikers.

Later in the 2026 season, visitors can also look forward to the opening of the Aero Bar, an elevated platform lifting guests 35 metres above the ground while serving drinks with panoramic views over both the Bay of Kotor and the Budva Riviera.
