This information was announced by the national airline Air Montenegro, as part of broader efforts by the two countries to improve regional transport connectivity.

The details of the new flight and future cooperation were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović and Minister of Transport of North Macedonia Aleksandar Nikoloski. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the Montenegrin carrier, CEO Vukadin Stojanović and Chairman of the Board of Directors Tihomir Dragaš.

Ivanović pointed out that the direct flight between Tivat and Skopje will open new doors for strengthening economic exchange and a significant growth in the number of tourists.

Interestingly, during the meeting, further expansion of the flight network was also considered, through the potential introduction of a Podgorica – Skopje line, as well as connecting Tivat with Ohrid.

Macedonian Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski expressed optimism about the launch of this air route:

"For a start, we will have two flights per week. We start on May 1st and I believe that this line will give a strong impetus not only to the number of passengers, but also to the tourism and business sectors of both countries," said Nikoloski.
