During the next summer season, Turkish Airlines plans to increase operations throughout the countries of the former Yugoslavia, and the company is also considering the introduction of four-week flights to Tivat, writes the portal EX-YU Aviation.
As stated, Turkish Airlines plans to serve all major cities in the region with at least two daily flights, while services to selected destinations will exceed pre-pandemic levels. This summer, the airline is also considering adding its ninth point in the former Yugoslavia.
Starting on March 27th, Turkish Airlines plans to fly to Sarajevo and Belgrade three times a day, every morning, afternoon and evening. As a result, the company will add an additional seven weekly rotations to the Serbian capital and return its frequencies before the pandemic to Sarajevo.
In addition, its low-budget AnadoluJet unit will operate two weekly flights from Ankara to Belgrade, three weekly flights from Istanbul's Sabiha Gocken Airport to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a one-day rotation from Antalya to Sarajevo on May 4th. At the moment, AnadoluJet has no plans to resume its regular seasonal flights from Bodrum to Sarajevo, which were held last summer.
The portal also reports that Turkish Airlines will have two daily flights from Istanbul to Pristina, Skopje, Zagreb and Ljubljana. In addition, AnadoluJet will resume three weekly rotations between Sabiha Gocken Airport and Pristina from April 1, while two weekly routes from Bodrum will return on June 15.
Meanwhile, the low-budget unit will renew flights from Antalya to Skopje at the beginning of the season, on March 28, and plans ten weekly rotations between the two cities during the summer. On the other hand, flights from Bodrum to Skopje are not scheduled, unlike last summer.
Turkish Airlines will operate eleven weekly flights from its hub to Dubrovnik, while the airline is also considering introducing four weekly flights to Tivat, where it would compete directly with Air Montenegro, which maintains the route on a seasonal summer basis.
