This confirms that Montenegro has the potential for a tourist season lasting seven, not just three months. British airline Jet2.com will operate flights from Birmingham, Manchester, and London (Stansted) to Tivat from April to October this year.
In addition to extending the flight period, Jet2.com is increasing the number of available seats on these routes.
This was announced at a meeting between the management of Airports of Montenegro (ACG) and representatives of this British airline.
"In communication with colleagues from Jet2.com, we received confirmation that this season they will increase the capacity of seats on sale by ten percent and will operate on all three routes from the beginning of April to the end of October. It is especially important to emphasize that this company has announced a 33 percent increase in flights in April, which is a significant contribution to extending the summer tourist season.
We believe that Airports of Montenegro will not remain alone in preparing for a season that starts in April. This is a sign that hoteliers, restaurateurs, and all other service industry representatives should open their doors earlier than before," said ACG's executive director, Roko Tolić.
