The company said that for the year they have almost tripled the number of destinations with which they connect Montenegro.
"Thus, the network now consists of flights to Paris, Nantes, Lyon, Zurich, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Ljubljana, Belgrade, Prague, Banja Luka, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Katowice and Yerevan," the announcement states.
The increase in the number of destinations, as explained by the national airline, follows the opening and development of new markets, and therefore the transportation of a larger number of passengers and tourists coming to Montenegro.
"For the first six months of this year, Air Montenegro planes transported more than 126,000 passengers, while that number is expected to increase, especially during the main summer season," the announcement states.
Acting CEO of Air Montenegro, Dragana Frantov Nikolić, said that compared to last year, when due to the epidemic situation and closed borders, they were focused on the development of the regional market, this year they are opening and developing new ones.
"We have already had three French destinations since May, and since June we have been flying to Prague, as well as to Zurich and Copenhagen. In addition to the flights from Tivat to Istanbul, we also introduced an additional line for this city from Podgorica, and both are recording excellent occupancy", stated Frantov Nikolić.
She added that they also operate numerous charter flights to Tel Aviv, Bratislava, Yerevan, and soon they will also fly to Cairo.
"In addition to the complex situation in the aviation industry and numerous problems at a large number of airports, last month we made more than 450 flights," said Frantov Nikolić.
