The Kotor Winter Carnival festivities will take place from February 13 to 23, as announced by the Cultural Center "Nikola Đurković."
The Grand Masquerade Ball is scheduled for February 21 at 8 PM at the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort in Stoliv. The traditional carnival procession and the burning of the carnival effigy will occur on Sunday, February 23, starting at 2 PM.
On the day of the carnival, the humorous-satirical newspaper "Karampana" will be published. A box for submitting content for this publication will be placed at the Stone Kiosk in front of the main city gates.
The Organizing Committee of the Traditional Winter Kotor Carnival invites all interested carnival groups and individuals to apply and request financial assistance for creating masks. The application should include: the name of the carnival group or individual, the name of the mask, the number of group members, a description of the mask, a bank account number, and a contact phone number of the responsible person.
For group masks (consisting of 6 or more members), the Cultural Center "Nikola Đurković" Kotor will provide assistance of up to 400 euros, while individual masks will receive 40 euros per person.
