Right before the start of the holiday season, which began with the symbolic lighting of the biggest Christmas tree in Montenegro on December 3, Portonovi was awarded at one of the most important fashion events in the region, the Elle Style Awards for 2022. Numerous personalities from the worlds of fashion, culture, art and entertainment were awarded, and among the winners this year was the luxurious Porton resort, which was awarded for the best design and decor.

Porton's Sparkling Season officially begins on December 3, so the festive lighting of the New Year's tree on Porton's marina square, as well as festive decorations, gathered a large number of visitors. The ceremony was graced by the performance of the children's choir Cvrkutići, as well as the cultural and artistic society Sloga, whose youngest members took part in the solemn short ceremony.
"This Saturday, we lit the biggest Christmas tree in Montenegro, this is one of four such Christmas trees in this part of Europe, and visitors and citizens of Herceg Novi will be able to see decorations that are being used for the first time in Portonovo. The specificity of this Christmas tree is that it is modeled after a real pine tree, so it fits naturally into the environment." - emphasized Husić and added that in this way they bring the spirit of big cities to Herceg Novi.
From December 3 to January 8, Portonovi is a real village from a fairy tale - a place of special magic where winter nights will be illuminated by the lights of festive decorations and a unique play of light and music.
