The Mimosa Festival 2027 in Herceg Novi will begin on February 12th with a concert by Vlado Georgiev and will last until February 27th, when the people of Herceg Novi will burn the carnival - the culprit for all their misfortunes in the previous year, with a concert by Jelena Rozga on the plateau in front of the Igalo hotel, announced the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization.
Three weeks of entertainment, cultural, gastro and sports program will this year again wake up the sleepy coastal residents, and give others a number of reasons to visit Herceg Novi during this winter month. Because, is there anything nicer than when the scent of mimosa wakes you from sleep? 🙂
Main part of the Program
The arrival of the ceremonial procession of the 57th Mimosa Festival and the shots of the trombonjeri (traditional gunmen) will mark the beginning of the opening ceremony scheduled for 02.12 at 20:30h. The keys to the city will be handed over to the carnival participants, and then follows a big party - a concert by Vlado Georgiev on the plateau in front of the hotel "Igalo".
A day later, on 02.13 we have the Mimosa Harvest - Fish and Wine Feast in Kumbor, Djenovici and Baosici. The ceremonial parade of the City Music and majorettes, the Local Music of Djenovic, trombonjeri and masqueraders, will arrive in Kumbor at 8:30h and hold the first part of the performance. They continue at 9:45 in Portonovi, and at 10:30 they arrive in Djenovici.
On the same day, from 8pm, we have the Night Under Masks, as well as a concert by Yugoton and Neda Ukraden, and then from 9pm a Masquerade Ball with performances by Exodus, Toc and Tropico band.
02.14 is in the sign of love, so we have the Evening of Wine and Love, with a concert by Sergej Cetkovic.
The International Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, 02.20 at 8pm. After it, follows a big 90s party, with Tap 011, Funky G, Ivan Gavrilovic and others.
The Trial of the Carnival will be held on 02.27 at 8pm, followed by a concert by Jelena Rozga.
