Ocean Race Europe is coming to Montenegro in 2025

Montenegro will host part of the International Sailing Race "The Ocean Race Europe 2025", announced the Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović, saying that this event will be held on the Adriatic for the first time.

"The sailing race will take place in September next year with the start in the Baltic and the end of the race in the Mediterranean. The final of the race will be in Boka Kotor, and we are delighted that Boka will be the last stop on this trip, where we will welcome sailors and fans alike, in the name of unity and love for the sea," said Radulović.

The Ocean Race is among the world's leading sailing events, and this world-renowned race promotes ocean protection and gathers a large number of participants. The finale of this event will highlight the maritime heritage of Montenegro and its European identity.

"This event will improve the reputation of Montenegro as a destination for sailing and tourism. The economic effects for Montenegro after the event will be significant, as a positive impact on the GDP in the amount of 8.3 million euros is expected," said Radulović.

This event, Radulović said, will further promote Montenegro as a tourist destination, and it is estimated that during the four days of the event, around 96 thousand people will visit Boka.

"Visibility and promotion of Montenegro will be ensured at all stopping points of The Ocean Race Europe 2025, which includes about 1.35 million people", concluded Radulović.
