The 5th edition of the "5th Bird Salt People" festival takes place from September 4 to 8, 2026, at the "Ulcinj Salina" Nature Park. Organized by MSJA, the event connects nature, culture, industrial heritage, and the local community.

Friday, September 4
- Salina Laboratory Opening: Public launch of the newly repurposed laboratory space dedicated to interpreting the salt pan's history, workers, and heritage.
- Live Music: Ethno-jazz concert performed by Suad Mehmeti and his band.
Saturday, September 5
- Salina Cinema: Premiere of the documentary film "Godine trovanja" (Years of Poisoning), directed by Mladen Ivanović and featuring activist Aleksandar Dragićević, focusing on the environmental impact of tire burning.
- Panel Discussion: "Green Agenda" panel following the film screening.
Sunday, September 6
- Creative Workshop: Salt soap-making workshop using salt from the last harvest, led by Ela Redžepagić (Ela Magic).
- Eco-Activities: Guided birdwatching tour with Reborn by Adventures.
- Market Day at Ulcinj Salina: Local market featuring over 15 stalls with regional producers and craftspeople.
Monday, September 7
- Craft Workshop: Plant-fiber paper-making workshop in collaboration with Atelje Propuh.
- Activities: Birdwatching tour and a musical performance by Stefan Kostić.
- Exhibition: "Revitalization" – presentation of master's thesis projects by Ana Mandić-Huber, Genc Hollaj, and Anđela Bubanja, exploring modern approaches to the site's future.
Tuesday, September 8
- Forum Solana: The first international gathering of Mediterranean salt pan representatives dedicated to conservation, management, and sustainable development.
- International Speakers: Francesca Caldara (Saline Conti Vecchi, Italy), Alejandro Pérez Hurtado de Mendoza (Salina La Esperanza, Spain), and Nikolina Franušić-Bajlo (Solana Pag, Croatia).
