The Roman Night Event

The Roman Night event aims to bring Kotor's cultural heritage closer to the local population and tourists, with the emphasis on children, through quite a few entertainment and educational workshops and activities. The event will take place at different locations in Risan, on July 16 and 17.

On Saturday 16.7. children can take part in a sculpting workshop and make pottery and souvenirs modeled after items originating from the ancient Rome. The workshop will take place at the Risan promenade. Later in the Risan Town Park, the Roman Chat Room is starting at 21.30, where children of different ages prepare for the knowledge quiz expected on the second day of the event.

On Sunday 17.7, the Roman coiffure style will be presented, and later the Narona Archaeological Museum from Metković. After the Little Gladiator Playroom with a knowledge quiz for children, the arrival of „Diocletian's legion" is expected. The program ends with a performance of "Diocletian's Legion", gladiator fights, and a dance with sabers and fire performed by the United Tribes ensemble.

Everybody is invited to join the Roman Night event on 16.7. and 17.7, especially children, try their hand at sculpting, learn something about the ancient Rome and take part in various games.
