Biogradska Gora Open to Visitors from March 16

Biogradska Gora National Park will reopen to visitors starting March 16, according to an announcement from National Parks of Montenegro.

"Thanks to favorable weather conditions, this year we are opening the park gates much earlier for visitors. Please note that preparations for the season are still underway, and we appeal to everyone who wishes to enjoy the nature of one of the last primeval forests in Europe to follow the rules that apply in this protected area," the statement said.

The entrance ticket for Biogradska Gora is €4 per person. The National Parks also reminded visitors that the campaign "One Ticket – Five National Parks" is currently ongoing.

"By purchasing an annual ticket for €13.50, citizens have the opportunity to visit all five national parks in Montenegro an unlimited number of times during 2026. Annual tickets can be purchased at park entrance checkpoints, at the headquarters of the National Parks of Montenegro in Podgorica, or online," the announcement states.

In the spirit of nature protection and preserving the unique values of national parks, 2026 has been dedicated to the Lady's Slipper orchidCypripedium calceolus, a rare and exceptionally beautiful orchid species of great ecological importance.
