After a subsidiary of El Al operated flights to Tivat during the summer, flights will be conducted to Podgorica during the winter season.
The flights will take place every Thursday and Sunday, with an expected ticket price of around 250 euros for this route.
"This is a huge opportunity to promote the winter season, Podgorica as the capital, as well as the ski resorts in northern Montenegro," noted Nimrod Rinot, the honorary consul of Montenegro in Israel, to Israeli media. This was made possible through the joint efforts of the Honorary Consulate of Montenegro, the Government of Montenegro, and the Israeli airline El Al.
"It is expected that over 130,000 Israelis will visit Montenegro by the end of 2024," said Rinot. "We promise that with joint efforts, we will make 2025 even more attractive for Israeli tourists," Rinot concluded.
