The director of the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro, Marinela Đuretić, stated that after the winter period—during which natural processes in the park were the main focus—Biogradska Gora is once again open to nature lovers and all those who wish to enjoy the most beautiful landscapes of the primeval forest.
"Biogradska Gora National Park, with its rich flora and fauna, beautiful lakes, and centuries-old trees, offers a unique opportunity to experience a clean and untouched environment. The reopening of the park also marks the beginning of a new tourist season. Alongside numerous promotional activities we will organize throughout the year, special attention will be given to our primary goal, which is the preservation of natural heritage and biodiversity in this area. We invite both locals and tourists to visit this unique natural site and to respect the rules of conduct, so we can preserve Biogradska Gora for future generations. We want the rainforest to serve as an inspiration for all visitors to develop a more responsible attitude toward nature and the most valuable natural areas Montenegro has," Đuretić added.
All visitors are kindly asked to carefully plan their stay in the park, strictly follow the internal regulations, and use only marked trails. We urge extra caution, especially considering that it is early spring, meaning some parts of the park may be slippery and inaccessible. Your safety is our priority, so please follow the instructions and safety guidelines for a secure visit. Boating and kayaking will be organized in accordance with weather conditions.
We remind you that the annual ticket for all five national parks is available at a price of €13.50, allowing for an unlimited number of visits during the calendar year. Tickets are available at park entrance checkpoints, at the headquarters of JPNPCG in Podgorica, and online at www.nparkovi.me.
For any additional information, visitors can contact park rangers from the Protection Service or staff at the Visitor Center on the shore of Biograd Lake.
