Check out the view from the Kotor-Lovćen Cable Car !

This tourist attraction will truly be an experience worth a vacation in Montenegro! Final tests are underway, so that everything is ready for the official opening and commercial use.

"Join us soon and be ready to explore the beautiful nature of Montenegro as you ascend in gondolas and enjoy the spectacular landscapes that combine the sea and the rugged hinterland of Boca. With us, every moment will be special and exciting. Do not miss the opportunity to be a part of this incredible experience!", the company states.

In the following period, the public will be informed in a timely manner about the start date of the Cable Car and all other important details related to this tourist attraction.

We would like to remind you that the project is being implemented by the Novi Volvox - LEITNER consortium based on the concession agreement signed in December 2021. The route of the cable car starts from Dub, which is located in the territory of the municipality of Kotor, and leads to the location of Kuk on the Lovćen mountain, at 1,348m above sea level. The length of the route is about 3,900 meters, the projected capacity of 48 gondolas at the level of 1,200 passengers per hour, while the travel time from Dub station to Kuk station is less than 11 minutes.

Opening of the Cable Car "Kotor-Lovćen" for commercial rides at the end of July

The opening of the "Kotor-Lovćen" cable car for commercial rides is planned for the end of July. Testing of the cable car construction is proceeding according to plan and entering the final phase, including work on related facilities. The complete testing process is managed by the renowned company LEITNER, applying protocols that comply with the strictest European regulations governing the field of "ropeway systems".

External, independent testing of the structure of the cable car is carried out by the renowned agency WPK Austria - accredited as an inspection and testing agency specialized in the field of cable car technology and testing.

"In anticipation of the planned visit of Prime Minister Dr. Dritan Abazović to the cable car on July 13, I would like to point out that we are looking forward to the meeting with pleasure, because our persistence and commitment is undeniable, but without the support of the Government, we would not have been able to bring it to an end in just one year project of this level of complexity," concludes Leitner.
