Herceg Novi opens its doors for the 55th Mimosa Festival, which will be held from February 15 to March 3. Under the slogan "For all tastes", this unique manifestation and carnival celebration in honor of flowers, fun and socializing will be officially opened on Friday, February 16 with a procession through the city and a concert by one of the biggest regional stars, Halid Bešlić.

The official opening on Friday, February 16 will begin with the raising of the flag of the Mimosa Festival on the symbol of the city - Tori, and at 7:30 p.m. the procession of City Music and Local Music Đenović, majorettes and trombonists will start from Nikola Đurković Square to the plateau in front of the former hotel "Igalo", where the ceremony will be held opening and handing over the keys to the city of Kapu Mimosa Carnival. Until then, the atmosphere will be "warmed up" by the regionally popular band Teška industrija, whose concert in Igalo will begin at 6:30 p.m., while Halid Bešlić's concert will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Decades ago, the most popular program of the Mimosa Festival is the folk festival by the sea - Mimosa Harvest, which gathers tens of thousands of visitors.
The program will start on Saturday, February 17, with a parade of Novi majorettes, City Music, Local Music Đenović and trombonists, from the premises of the Local Community of Kumbor, through Đenovići, to the House of Culture in Baošići, with a cultural, artistic and entertainment program in each place. Traditionally, housewives from Đenović and Baošić will serve fish and wine to visitors at several points.
On the same day, in the evening hours, a masquerade ball will be organized at the "Dr. Simo Milošević" Institute, which will be opened by the Novi majorettes and City Music. Masks will then enter the hall, and they and the guests will be entertained by the local band Exodus and the Inspiracija band. Entrance is free for creative masks, and a very rich fund of goods and cash prizes is provided for the best ones.
For all those who decide to have an outdoor party that evening, a concert by Indira Levak (ex Colonia) awaits in Park Boka, along with an ice rink, an ice slide and other accompanying facilities.

It is impossible to start the mimosa festival without the traditional Flower Exhibition, which will last three days again this year, from Friday to Sunday (February 16-18) in the First Phase of the "Dr. Simo Milošević" Institute and will gather over 40 exhibitors from the country and the region. On Friday and Saturday (February 16 and 17) the Lazure Hotel and Marina will host a Wine Salon.
Sunday, February 18, is reserved for the first program dedicated to friends as part of Herzegovina Day, while Belgrade Days will be held on February 28 and 29.
During the first week of the 55th Mimosa Festival, a KUD Sloga concert with friends awaits us on Monday, February 19, while the theater play "Once Upon a Time in Brioni" is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21.
All of this is a prelude to the second weekend of the biggest festival on the Adriatic, which on Friday, February 23 brings the Open Street program - a festival on Škver with fish, wine and the Stari Kapitan clap. On Saturday, February 24, the "Boke morning" opens in Boka Park and is an opportunity to present Boka's gastronomic offer. We continue with the funnest and cutest children's Flower Parade from the plateau in front of the HN Municipality building at 2:00 p.m. to the central city square. The evening (February 24) will bring a concert by regional star Svetlana Ceca Ražnatović on the plateau in front of the former Igalo Hotel from 9:00 p.m.
