National Geographic magazine photographer: Of all the countries I have visited, Montenegro is one of the most beautiful

I don't even know how many times I have visited your beautiful country, but every time I discover something new, said Banks

The National Tourist Organization of Montenegro is hosting the photographer of one of the most influential British travel magazines, "National Geographic Traveller", Jordan Banks.

As announced by the National Tourist Organization NTO, during his stay in Montenegro, in the period from 19-24. In October of the current year, the photographer had the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Žabljak, Budva, Bar, Cetinje and Kotor, but also to get acquainted with the cultural and historical sights of these areas.

- I love Montenegro very much, returning and shooting a film for National Geographic was a dream task for me. I don't even know how many times I have visited your beautiful country, but every time I discover something new. I'm sure this won't be the last time. Despite the multitude of things I've seen, there are still many places I'd like to explore further - said Banks.

The first three days of the study visit were devoted to a tour of the Durmitor and Biogradska gora national parks, as well as the magnificent bridge on the Đurđevića Tara, which particularly delighted the National Geographic photographer. Banks also visited well-known tourist sites in the central part of Montenegro, so on that occasion he visited the Šipčanik wine cellar, Lipska Pećina and Cetinje.

- In a week, Montenegro really got under my skin and I discovered many hidden gems, which I might not have seen if it weren't for Filip from the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro and this interesting task," said the National Geographic photographer.

After touring the northern and central regions, the photographer visited Budva, Kotor, Bar and Herceg Novi, which he was equally enthusiastic about.

- Of all the countries I've visited, Montenegro is one of the most intriguing, beautiful and friendliest countries I've had the pleasure of visiting - Banks concluded.

This visit will result in photographs of the diverse landscapes of Montenegro, which will be published in an article by editor Sara Barel, who visited Montenegro in May of this year, organized by the NTO of Montenegro. The reason for her visit was the preparation of an editorial for this prestigious British magazine, which ranked Montenegro as one of the seven most attractive holiday destinations in 2021, awarding it the significant award "Best of the World".

Bearing in mind that the portal nationalgeographic.co.uk records about 33,000 followers and 10 million page views per year, while a quarter of that number of views refers to the travel section, it is expected that this article with photos, which best show the charms of Montenegro, will contribute promotion of Montenegro as an attractive tourist destination on the market of Great Britain and beyond.
