"One of the most important Montenegrin tourism infrastructure projects, for which we have been waiting for almost a century, has been brought to an end, one year and a month after the foundation stone was laid, which we consider an exceptional success considering the degree of complexity of the entire process. We express our special and greatest gratitude to the Prime Minister Dr. Dritan Abazović, without whose involvement and the help of his team this project would not have been completed. What we can proudly point out is that Montenegro will soon have a cable car with a view of one of the most beautiful bays in the world, the construction of which, as well as safety checks and protocols, correspond to the highest international standards", they pointed out from the Cable Car.
A one-way cable car ride for adults costs 13 euros, while the price of a return ticket is 23 euros. The prices of children's tickets are significantly lower, so a cable car ride in one direction costs 7 euros, or 12 euros for both directions. Free rides are provided for children under the age of two. Benefits are also defined for PWDs, so the price of a one-way ticket will be 7 euros, or 12 euros for both directions.
We would like to remind you that the "Kotor - Lovćen" cable car project is being implemented by the Novi Volvox - LEITNER consortium based on the concession contract signed in December 2021, shortly after that, on July 12, 2022, the foundation stone was laid.
Cable Car route starts from Dub, which is located in the territory of the municipality of Kotor, and leads to the location of Kuk on the Lovćen mountain, at an altitude of 1,348 m above sea level. The projected capacity is 48 gondolas at the level of 1200 passengers per hour, while the travel time from Dub station to Cook station is less than 11 minutes.
