One of the longest-running festivals in Montenegro - Petrovac Jazz Fest will be held from August 27 to 30 on the terrace of the Palas lux hotel. As announced by the organizers - NGO "Urban Kult", the 18th edition of the festival will host musicians from as many as 11 countries.
Thus, jazz lovers in Montenegro, for the first time, will have the opportunity to hear the interesting band "Vertigong" from Indonesia. They will perform during the first evening of the festival, while tomorrow at 19:00 they will hold a music workshop, as part of the accompanying program. The participation of Nikola Kokan Dimushevsky at the festival will certainly attract many admirers of the band "Bread and Salt". The Petrovac Jazz Fest is part of his "The back of beyond" tour, which was declared one of the best jazz records of the 21st century.
Part of the accompanying program is the promotion of Živko Ivković's book "Little School RNR", which will take place on August 29.
The jazz artist Yuri Mahatma is coming to Montenegro from Indonesia with his quartet "Straight and Stretch", as well as many other fantastic artists, as you can see in the Program.
Petrovac Jazz Fest has been nurturing the tradition of jazz and blues music in Montenegro for 18 years, and during that time they hosted more than 2,500 performers from about 30 countries. The goal of the organizers is to bring jazz music, as part of the world's cultural heritage, closer to everyone, so the entrance to the festival is free.
The event was supported by the Municipality of Budva, the Tourist Organization of Budva, HG "Budva Riviera" and others.
