Organized by the MZ Ostros, under the auspices of the Municipality of Bar and the Tourism Organization of Bar, on November 12 and 13, after a two-year break due to the pandemic, the "Koštanijada" will be held in Ostros.
This authentic manifestation affirms the multi-ethnic nature of the municipality of Bar, the specific cultural and tourist offer of this region and is a great opportunity to socialize with the locals, taste and display baked and cooked bones and other specialties of the Krajina.
The carnival starts at 10 a.m., and guests will be entertained by singers from Krajina, Ulcinj and Shkodra.
At more than 40 stands in the center of Ostros, in addition to the cost of goods, homemade cheese, garlic and onion, the famous Krajina tobacco, olives, wild and tame rose hips, Japanese apples, dried figs, rosehip syrup, as well as autochthonous dishes will be displayed.
The president of the MZ Ostros Bećir Berjašević told Radio Bar and Bar Info that a large number of guests from Montenegro and Albania are expected.
"This year, a literary contest dedicated to the chestnut was also opened, there is a group of intellectuals who will act as a jury to analyze the works, and we have provided prizes for the first three places," says Berjašević. The first "Chestnut Festival" was held in 2006 and was held without interruption until 2019. , and its maintenance is an important event for Krajina.
