The largest British tour operator: Montenegro is the perfect destination for the British tourists
This is a group of 12 winners of the annual competition "Cover Stars 2024", which is organized by Jet2holidays in partnership with the most influential British magazine dedicated to travel agents - Travel Weekly. Apart from them, in the period from October 16 to 19, representatives of the Travel Weekly magazine and the British tour operator Jet2holidays are staying in Montenegro.
During their stay in the destination, tourist agents had the opportunity to visit Budva, Kotor, Tivat and Cetinje, and familiarize themselves with the tourist attractions and offers of these cities.
"This is my first visit to Montenegro and I am really pleasantly surprised." The appetizers are amazing and everything we had the chance to go around was interesting. "Montenegro has been an extremely interesting market for the residents of Great Britain in recent years, and we will only hear about it, given that more flights are planned next year," said Bryony Hordem from the travel agency Travel Conselsors.
She pointed out that Montenegro has a diverse tourist offer, and the prices of food and drinks are very affordable.
On this occasion, Director of NTO Montenegro, Dr. Ana Tripković Marković, said that NTO Montenegro is extremely satisfied with the cooperation with the largest British tour operator.
"Cooperation with the tour operator Jet2holidays is of key importance to us for improving air availability and the growth of tourist traffic from the strategically important market of Great Britain, bearing in mind that Jet2com and Jet2Holidays operate from a total of 11 British cities, which represents a market of a total of 51 million people. So it's a really big deal that Jet2com has announced the introduction of flights from Birmingham and London, in addition to the already established Manchester route. This means that Montenegro will be connected by direct flights with the 3 largest cities of Great Britain", said Tripković Marković.
She clarified that the award trip for 12 British agents is only part of the marketing campaign we are conducting with the tour operator Jet2holidays on the UK market. It is a campaign that envisages promotion through digital channels, with the most modern marketing tools, but also through traditional promotion channels, such as billboards and the most listened to radio stations.
The "Cover Stars" competition has been held for more than 10 years and all UK-based travel agents are eligible to participate.
Montenegro was on the cover of the prestigious Travel Weekly magazine on the occasion of this prize trip, which represents additional media promotion on the UK market.
