Weekend plan: Let's go to Maslinijada on November 21 & 22

The twenty-fourth Maslinijada in Stari Bar will be held from November 20-22, organized by the NGO "Maslinijada" and the NGO Association of Olive Growers "Antivari", under the patronage of the Municipality of Bar and the Tourist Organization of Bar and with the support of the "House of Olives" Bar and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

The central celebration will be on Saturday, November 21, if favorable weather conditions allow it to be held.

On November 21 and 22, Maslinijada and the Stari Bar square will be decorated with exhibition stands rich in domestic products, olives, olive oil and delicacies from traditional cuisine from all parts of Bar, as well as guests - producers of honey, wine and medicinal herbs.

The competitive part of the event is dedicated to competing and rewarding the quality of olive oils, then the best maintained olive grove, the best young plantation, and for the best revitalized old olive grove, as well as for the best decorated olive stands. The evaluation and announcement of the best will be done by expert commissions, whose members are recognized experts in these fields.

Registration for all competitive categories (quality olive oil, best maintained olive grove and best young olive grove) is open until November 09, while registration for interested exhibitors at the stands will last until November 13.

In addition to a rich cultural-artistic and entertainment program, this year's 24th Maslinijada will have a number of accompanying programs, as well as an art colony dedicated to the theme of olives, and a traditional excursion and gathering called "on the paths of Bar olive growers".

A special content of the three-day event will be a scientific thematic conference dedicated to the preservation and protection of agricultural, spatial and ambient values of olive groves, which will gather domestic and international experts in this field and representatives of relevant institutions who will deal with this very current topic.
