Europe has many beautiful national parks that are excellent alternatives to resorts and cities crowded with tourists.
Visitors to these parks can enjoy their clean air and unique nature, providing a few days of rest from the noise, pollution, and crowds of their cities.
The popular site European Best Destinations, which writes about the best tourist destinations in Europe, has highlighted the 10 most beautiful national parks on the Old Continent.
At the top of this list is Plitvice Lakes National Park with its spectacular waterfalls. It is located between the mountain range of Mala Kapela in the west and northwest and Plješevica in the southeast. Next on the list are the Saxon Switzerland National Park in Germany, Dolomiti Bellunesi in Italy, and the Wild Taiga in Finland.The Taiga has a range of rare wild animals. Here, visitors can see brown bears and wolves if they are lucky. In fifth place is Écrins Park in France, which the Council of Europe has adorned with the title of "European Mountain Park."
Following are Durmitor in Montenegro, Triglav in Slovenia, and Soomaa in Estonia.Soomaa is a paradise for ornithologists with its enormous diversity of exotic birds. Its swampy forests are home to the white-backed woodpecker and the three-toed woodpecker, while the lesser spotted eagle and the black stork can be seen soaring above the floodplains.In the alluvial meadows, there are numerous nesting sites of the great snipe, and in the marshes lives the golden eagle.
At the end of the prestigious list is Ordesa National Park in Spain with its valleys and rivers that lie at the foot of Mont Perdu.
